About Our Organization

Richmond Youth Cricket is the youth cricket division of Sports Clubs of Richmond ( SCOR ), located at Richmond Virginia,  dedicated to promoting cricket among the youth in our community through coaching, tournaments, and mentorship programs. We aim to instill a love for the sport and develop essential life skills.

We believe in the power of cricket to teach valuable lessons on discipline, resilience, and teamwork. Join us in shaping the future of young cricketers and nurturing a passion for the game.

Our Story

In 2018, Sports Club of Richmond (SCOR), a 501(c)3 non profit organization, created Richmond’s first youth cricket training program through a partnership with Richmond Strikers, now known as Richmond Youth Cricket. We began with a seasonal, summer coaching program designed to introduce young players to the sport. Since then, our program has grown exponentially, evolving into a year-round cricket initiative that offers continuous opportunities for development. Our players now compete in prestigious tournaments, gaining valuable experience and exposure at the zonal stage. We are incredibly proud to share that some of our students have been selected to represent the zonal level and other prestigious youth teams, a testament to their hard work and talent. It has been an exciting and rewarding journey, and we are truly humbled by how far our program has come, thanks to the unwavering dedication and support of our community.

 

Starting in 2025, Sports Club of Richmond will independently organize the youth cricket program under the name Richmond Youth Cricket, marking the next step in our ongoing commitment to fostering cricket talent and empowering young athletes.
